0. tl;dr
$HOS has a fixed supply of 100,000 tokens and lives on HyperSwap V2. swaps against the AMM pair pay a small fee that the contract holds inside itself, then converts to HYPE on the next sell and pushes to the treasury. holders can forge ERC-721 nodes in five tiers, and those nodes drip $HOS continuously, either claimed for a small tax or compounded into another node at a 10% discount.
1. token ($HOS)
$HOS is a plain ERC-20 with 18 decimals and a fixed supply minted at deploy. token name is HyperOS, symbol is HOS. once liquidity is seeded and trading opens, transfers behave like any normal ERC-20.
2. tax schedule
tax-on-transfer fires whenever one side of a transfer is a registered AMM pair. P2P wallet-to-wallet transfers are always tax-free. tax bps is a function of time since trading opened:

accrued $HOS gets swapped to native HYPE by the token on the next sell, once enough has built up. the resulting HYPE goes straight to the vault, so the vault itself never has to handle $HOS at all.
3. vault
this contract only ever holds native HYPE. every swap of $HOS sends a small slice through here, gets converted to HYPE under the hood, and is forwarded to the treasury that funds the rest of the project.

10% of mint price routes to treasury. the remainder funds the reward pool. transfers carry pending yield with the new owner - no lost drip.
5. rewards
each node accrues yield every second. claiming pays a 10% tax that goes back into the pool, or you can compound the rewards into a new node for a 10% discount. monthly maintenance is configurable per tier and is currently 0 HYPE.
6. roadmap (post-launch)
$HOS is just the starting point. as the treasury builds up HYPE, that funding gets recycled into the rest of the project. every new module is optional for users, and nothing in the roadmap forces a migration off the launch token.
- HOS Lending. decentralized lend / borrow markets on Hyperliquid. Core Pools (multi-asset, higher capital efficiency), Isolated Pools (paired, contained risk), E-mode for correlated baskets (LSTs, stables). hosTokens as 1:1 deposit receipts that burn on redeem. flash loans at a 0.04% fee.
- HOS Bridge. spot asset issuance platform that brings native assets (BTC, ETH, SOL, ZEC, …) into Hyperliquid. native chain deposits land in distributed TSS vaults, secured by a HYPE-staked validator set and observer ("watcher") sub-quorum. tokens appear 1:1 on HyperEVM as hos<Asset>, fully redeemable to home chain. listings & delistings governed on-chain. depositors and validators share community revenue and points.
- HOS Perps. onchain perpetual DEX powered by Hyperliquid's perp engine. trade crypto, stocks, commodities and FX with up to 40x leverage. USDC and HYPE vaults for passive yield from market-making + funding. integrated HYPE staking with validator picker. same audited Hyperliquid contracts, simpler interface, no KYC.
- HOS Market. on-chain NFT exchange for Hyperliquid. 2% seller fee (0.5% with Discounted Fee Trading). single/collection/trait bids, multi-collection sweep, real-time activity feed, royalty enforcement. integrated HOS Launch launchpad (creators upload assets to IPFS, we deploy + run mint UI) and NFT Vaults - any ERC-20 deposited directly into an NFT, follows the token through every transfer.
- HOS Loop. one-click leveraged staking yield. flash-loan a debt asset, swap into stHYPE or kHYPE, supply as collateral, re-borrow, repay flash-loan - atomic, in a single tx. each loop position lives in an isolated contract.
- Liquidation Guard. opt-in safety mechanism that auto-repays a slice of a user's debt before their Health Factor crosses the liquidation line, claiming the rescue before third-party liquidators take the bonus.
- Referrals. custom referral names, sharable links, fee-share on traffic driven through them.
- More. further modules ship as the protocol matures. each is funded by the treasury accumulated from the launch tax. shipped, not announced.
all phases use the existing $HOS / treasury / vault contracts as funding rails. nothing in the roadmap requires migrating off the launch token.
